History of the Department of Myanmar

The Department of Myanmar at Myitkyina University is located in the Ayeyarwaddy Building (3). Previously, at the degree college level, the Department of Myanmar was situated on the upper floor of the main building. Over time, it progressed from Myitkyina College, Kachin State Community College, Myitkyina Degree College to Myitkyina University. Up to the present, successive heads of the department, professors, and professors (heads of department) have dedicated their energy and efforts to the development of the Department of Myanmar. Senior teachers U Tin Myint, U Win Maung, U Tin Htun, senior female teachers Daw Khin Thein, Dr. Cho Mar Lar, Dr. Nwe Ni Tin, Dr. Tu Tu, Dr. San Htun, Dr. May Myo Hla, together with the current professor and head of department Dr. Hla Aung, have led and strived to promote the progress of Myanmar literature, the Myanmar language, and Myanmar culture.
