The University of Myitkyina, our Alma Mater, is pushing at the age of 61 now. The aged university of Myitkyina was first opened on 14th July, 1958.Myitkyina College was changed into the regional college of Myitkyina on 23rd of May 1977.Myollege was upgraded into Myitkyina Degree College 0n 12th February, 1986 and Myitkyina Degree College was developed into Myitkyina University in 1998.
